Does Technology Rule The World?

Technology is in our everyday lives, unless we get stuck in a desert and have to eat off a decaying buffalo and sleep in a cave for weeks waiting for rescue. Ok so I've gone off topic in the first line, dread to think what the rest of this post is going to end up like.

Anyways, technology, you can't really get away from it. Its in the work place, at home and everywhere you look. So does it really rule the world? Are we too dependent on it?

Lets take a look back in time to the year 1999, for some viewers you may not remember this and i hardly do as i was only little but i can slightly remember some bits. The Year 2000 bug...

Social Media Buttons For Blogger & Wordpress

To get your blog recognized more online i suggest being on Twitter and Google +. These to social sites are a great way to engage with your viewers outside of your blog, and are also a great way to bring more people to your blog, after all you can promote your blog to the whole web for free!

After much thought i came to the idea that drawing my own facebook and twitter buttons i would be able to open more doors for "WRYM"  There are many sites out there that can give you high quality buttons but you must have clicked this link for some reason, right? Anyhow, these buttons took me around 20mins to make so you know i put loads of effort into them.

Im joking i actually like the uniqueness of these buttons as i haven't yet found any online that are similar. STOP! Before you say i know there are pictures similar but there not buttons! I have made this easy for you as all you have to do is copy and paste the following codes into your HTML/javascript gadget in you blog or website edit page.

Drive Traffic To Your Blog For Free

If you have clicked this link in hope of grabbing yourself the knowledge to become the most famous blogger out there i am afraid to tell you that this post isn't going to give you traffic, but it will give you a few pointers.

There are many different ways of getting traffic to your blog such as SEO, advertising or those sites that send "x" amount of people to your blog in a matter of days, and many people go through with these things. I guess after a certain point in time then yes. say if you have been blogging for 5 years but i can highly doubt you would need it, but if you are just starting out in blogging then stop there!

Long Lived The Desktop

The all in ones took 2011 by storm and have pretty much wiped out the old desktops. They had a long run surviving through good and bad times as well as threats from laptops gaming and notebooks. But it has long been overdue as its been replaced with a Pc that actually sits on your lap or at your desk with out having the tower cluttering up space.

The Desktop tower PC was literally loved all over the world with a lot of stuff packed into a tower. With great specs for it all to. But now the all in ones are everywhere at least one or two in each household and a lot more in businesses too.

Hello again, I'm going to start by saying I may make a new pages called 'PB' posts which stands for Playbook Posts,and this is because I seem to writing about half of my posts from my Playbook which may explain some of my spelling mistakes because I'm still getting used to typing on it. Anyway, in this post I will be talking about the changes in technology, and whether it's to hard to keep up with what's new.

So, as we all know, technology changes almost as quick as the weather, but do you continue to buy what's 'new'. As I guess this is what everyone is thinking, it is hard to keep up to date with the latest technology unless you are made of money, but to be honest, technology isn't that expensive.

Windows User To A Mac User

Okay im guessing everyone's heard of Apple and Windows, well if not then you haven't clearly lived in our technological world.

Well anyways i used to have a Windows OS based computer and at the time which was around 4 years ago you know as they say I thought it was the 'Bees knees.' as the whole design of it was just so clean so easy to use . Anyone could use Windows its easy to learn the basics of it .

I used to like the colours on Windows yes believe it or not its sad but oh well. I used to like he fact that one click away and you was on the internet or other things such as Windows live messenger, as there were vibrant desktop icons going along the bottom of the computer screen or larger desktop icons . It used to be like my best friend as i had easy access to social networking applications or sites and they Would run smoothly on Windows with out a problem.

HTML Lesson 2 - Web Page

So you back to learn more, in today's lesson i will teach you how to make a simple HTML web page and show you how to change the background color, enter images and and links.

Before you move onto this lesson be sure you went through the First Lesson - The basics otherwise you may not understand what im going on about and it will all seem like gibberish.

Lets get started then, open your text editor, but make sure its a new one, do the same as we did before save it then save as a .html file. That is so it will open in your default web browser. Once all that's done type the same codes that are in the picture above, if you can't see that well then click the picture, it should get bigger.

Fist of all you will need to know what HTML is. HTML is computer talk, writing HTML code is telling a web browser or application what to do, and once you have got the hang of it you can do pretty much anything.

Blogger, it is a blog-publishing-tool for private or multi-user blogging. Founded in 1999 by Pyra Labs and was bought at a later date by Google in 2003. Now all the blogs are on Google's servers with a sub-domain .blogspot.com. It took Google 7 years until they allowed users to blog on other hosts via FTP.

When Blogger was launched its intentions were to popularize the blogging format or otherwise known as "web blogs". After Blogger was bought by Google they modified the templates, allowed any Google user to comment and launched email blogging. Later in 2004 Google purchased picasa and integrated it into Blogger, allowing users to add photos into their posts.

You never realize what you have until you've lost it. So you should always be thankful for what you have. In this post i will be explaining why you shouldn't be envious of other people and state the things you should be thankful for.

So, you may not even notice this but you are lucky to be reading this post! Either on a computer, tablet PC or mobile device. 21% of people in the world don't have internet access, so first of all respect the fact you do have internet access. Not only this be thankful to have the time to even read this post as many people have to work 12 hours a day just to live, leaving them no relaxation time.

Why I Love Technology

Hello guys, before you question why this post is in my main blog, its because this is more about me and not a review or me helping you with tech. In my opinion this is to much of a personal article so it suits being here instead. Imk just going to simply outline why i love technology and what my favorite gadget is.

For as long as i can remember i have always been fascinated by technology. I can remember when i was 6 and really wanted a laptop so i pretended a book was my laptop, sounds silly i know but i imagined the letters on the pages were the keys, although i could probably get more sense out of a book rather than any computer.

We Read Your Mind

Hi there, im writing this very late but this post is an introduction to We Read Your Mind, even though it has been up since January 2012. I forgot to write an introduction post so i thought i'd might as well do one now. And i guess this will be a good introduction post for my new viewers.

I, Dillon Smart, made WRYM by accident and didnt actually want to call the site it in the first place. I was actually on GoDaddy search to see if informationbox or informationheaven were free, and surprise surprise they weren't. Then out of no where the domain name www.wereadyourmind.com popped into my head, and as you guessed it i got it.

Twitter was created in 2006 by Jack Dorsey and was launched in July of that year. Twitter hasn't always been so popular because Facebook was thought to be better. Twitter now has over 225 million users world wide and there are around 65 million tweets a day. Twitter is searched on the internet about 800,000 times a day, that's a lot don't you think?

The name 'Twitter' was chosen because it's actually the name for 'chirps from birds' they are shorts bursts of noise and twitter is all about short bursts of information, this is helped along by there being a 140 character limit for any tweet.

Today Is The Time To Begin Recycling

When you resolve that you would like to do your part to help the environment, the first thing you can do is to recycle. All Electronics Recycling offers a few pointers. It is perhaps the easiest and effective way to get started on observing a green way of life. In your home, there are numerous different projects for separating your trash. You will need at least three separate bins for your individual trash. You should have one container for glass, one for cardboard and another for plastics. If you frequently use aluminum cans, you can have a fourth container for them. There should be sites in your city where you can bring your collection bins when they are full. You'll see huge containers where you can dump your recyclable materials.

Yeah, its been a while since i lasted posted but that hasn't been my fault. this week and part of last week i was on holiday. I did take my Blackberry Playbook so i could write a few posts whilst there but it turned out there was no internet connection. But that isn't what this post is based on.Today im going to be talking about Twitter Followers.
Most people wants loads of twitter followers, but dont and i mean dont go to these sites that give you 5000 followers for a small fee if you are running an online campaign, business or site/blog. If you do you will be attracting the wrong audience. By getting followers the slower way you know people are following you because they like the content your writing. Also they could be someone in the same situation or have similar likes as you.

The "F" Word? (WRYM)

Its been just under a week since Facebook allowed anyone to buy shares into the company, But is this a wise decision from the outstanding Mark Zuckerberg?

By allowing people to buy into Facebook, Mark is clearly showing that Facebook is here to stay and that it won't vanish of the radar like other social networking sites. This opens new opportunities for Facebook and will keep competitors such as Google + away from stealing its rank in having the most users.

Blogging Tips Extended - Any Web Design Tips (WRYM)

Hello again, I'm going to start off by saying, and as you can tell by the title, this is an extended post so if you haven't already read the first post so you know where to start.

First of all I'm going to start with the blogging tips, and im not saying im the best blogger in the world because i can name 10 people who are amazing off the top of my head, anyhow, to be a successful blogger you don't have to have millions of views, loads of subscribers and thousands of followers on social networking sites, but its to actually enjoy what you are doing. There is no point doing something that you don't enjoy because your bound to give up, so write or record content that interests you!

I'm going to start this of simply, follow me on twitter and Google +, not just for the reason that I want to let you know what I'm doing at the exact time but more for a humorous reason.
